Deutsch and Limbaugh Inspire Singing Lawyer

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) August 8, 2006

Nashville musician, comedian, and lawyer Jesse Goldberg admits his latest release, “I Used to Be a Liberal” was inspired by a saying he heard both Donnie Deutsch (The Big Idea with Donnie Deutsch) and Rush Limbaugh (The Rush Limbaugh Show) use on their television programs, “a conservative is a liberal who got mugged.”

“After doing some research, I discovered the original saying came from former Philadelphia mayor Frank Rizzo in the 1920s,” said Mr. Goldberg. “It inspired me to write a song that both Liberals and Conservatives can hate. What can I say? I’m proud to be an equal opportunity offender.”

Political flip-flops are wonderful fodder for anyone with Goldberg’s sense of humor. “I Used to Be a Liberal” includes the lyrics: “I believed in welfare, tax the rich and to feed the poor, but now that I’ve got money I don’t feel that way no more. Tear up those union labels…but God bless the USA.” and “I sympathized with prisoners now I say fry those thugs. Hunt down all those Democrats and squish them like bugs.”

Jesse enjoys writing and singing about what he knows best, the funny side of modern life. Besides “I Used to Be a Liberal,” Jesse’s “Solid Goldberg” album also includes fan favorites, such as “Prenuptial Agreement,” “The Civil War is Over,” and “Southern Baptist Jew.” http://www.jessegoldberg.com

Goldberg fans know him as the musician whose song “Its Honeymooner Time” was produced into a music video for Showtime and won a cable TV Ace Award. They enjoy his frequent contributions to the Dr. Demento Show, especially his hit “White Spots.” Some happy fans have had the chance to see him at the Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Bluebird Cafe

Lucky Nashville area fans can watch Goldberg weekly on three area television shows, “Mind Your Own Music Business,” “The Songwriter’s Show,” and “Common Law.” Details of these programs, as well as clips from his CDs can be found at http://www.jessegoldberg.com.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 26, 2006

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (a.k.a. TomKat) have reportedly signed their prenuptial agreement, which may stop fans from bombarding them with copies of Jesse Goldberg’s pertinent song “Prenuptial Agreement.”

Both TomKat and Goldberg fans can appreciate the song’s lyrics including: “On pg. 3, clause 14a, it says you give your rights away. Don’t listen to what your lawyers say, just sign this pre-nuptial agreement.” and “This house is not a home when I’m here all alone. But if you ever go, it’s still worth a lot of dough.”

Nashville musician and writer Jesse Goldberg, also a licensed lawyer, is proud to have his comedy labeled as an equal opportunity offender. Besides the prenuptial song, Jesse’s “Solid Goldberg” album also includes fan favorites, such as “I Used to Be a Liberal” and “Southern Baptist Jew.”

Lucky Nashville fans can see Jesse weekly on three area television shows, “Mind Your Own Music Business,” “The Songwriter’s Show,” and “Common Law.” Details of these programs can be found at www.jessegolderb.com.

Jesse’s website also features three comedy CDs “My Name Is Goldberg,”"Solid Goldberg,” and “Nuts Over Nashville,” as well as “It’s a Ruff Life,” his musical play about life from a dog’s perspective.

By the way, the TomKat prenuptial is said to grant Holmes million a year for each year that she is married to Cruise, up to a maximum of million, as well as a home in Montecito, CA. If the marriage fails after more than eleven years, Holmes will be entitled to half of all of Cruise’s assets under California property law.
